Five self-paced modules on the software engineering underneath the agent work. Optional, ungraded, and available from day one. Nothing in the fifteen sessions waits for them.
They exist because the course teaches you to steer an assistant, and you cannot steer toward a tradeoff you do not know exists. Each module makes you decide something and then holds you to the decision.

Fourteen checked exercises, all offline against the deterministic model double. No key, no cloud, no cost. Every module runs in CI on every push, so they do not rot between cohorts.
They are not counted toward anything. Do them because the decisions in session 10 and the capstone get easier once you have made these ones on purpose.
